VOGELE distributor auger

Paddle sensor in the auger area

The precise matching of spreading auger throughput capacity to the paving volume is achieved through proportional drive control in automatic mode. To monitor the flow of mix, paddle sensors are installed in the screw zone at the outer ends of the screed with extensions. These sensors continuously transmit actual values to the drive control system.

The drives, separate for the left and right sides, are controlled with proportional power, allowing for automatic speed adjustment of both auger halves based on the current material volume. This ensures a uniform distribution of material in front of the screed.

In addition to achieving optimal performance, this system provides drive protection and contributes to energy savings. By precisely controlling the auger's speed and adjusting it as needed, unnecessary power consumption is minimized, enhancing overall efficiency.

Actual values can also be obtained using ultrasonic sensors. These transducers are installed in the screw zone at the outer ends of the implement with extensions. By utilizing ultrasonic measurement, a more precise determination of the material level is achieved. Moreover, the non-contact operating principle of ultrasonic sensors ensures that there is no wear and tear on the equipment.

Channel plates

The unique design of VÖGELE duct sheets facilitates effortless installation, precise positioning, and convenient clamping. With a single work step, the duct sheet can be easily suspended in its designated holder, and several screws securely fasten it in place.

This streamlined process allows for assembly to be carried out by a single person. For smaller paving widths, swinging wire plates are available, typically used with AB working widths. These wire plates ensure optimal material flow without requiring extensive installation costs and can remain in place during transport, eliminating the need for dismantling.
